Nolan

With nearly 20 years of extensive teaching experience, Nolan is currently a Maths teacher in an independent school in the UK and has held the Cambridge CELTA for nearly 15 years.

He has taught at a university in China and was the head of the college’s international office.

Nolan is fluent in Chinese and has a good understanding of Chinese culture and the learning needs of international students.

Stephen

Inspirational teaching.

Experienced Head of English, Head of House and Literacy Co-ordinator in schools of widely varying character: senior, secondary and prep sectors.

Career experience includes responsibilities such as teaching coach, transforming learning director and assistant timetabler. Key strengths include the development of data analysis, raising achievement and assessment for learning. Vast experience of working through others, challenging colleagues to raise standards.

Stephen has tutored pupils and students to achieve success such as scholarship and Common Entrance entry to Eton, Harrow, Winchester, Charterhouse and Wellington. Furthermore, he has coached students at GCSE and A level and into Oxford and Cambridge.

Aidan

Aidan is currently working as a university lecturer teaching various engineering, science, maths and technology subjects, from individuals to groups of over 100, and at all levels from pre- GCSE/Nat 4 to Masters. He is also a member of various SQA teams, involved in writing, checking and marking various qualifications including physics from Nat 5 through to advanced higher.

Aidan has an open and welcoming approach to tutoring. To him, all forms of teaching should be about getting the student to build on the knowledge they already have to work things out for themselves as this much improves their recall later-and it’s also more enjoyable for them.

David

David graduated from Oxford University (Worcester College) with a 2:1 degree in biochemistry in 1973, David has been doing some private tutor work since 2001 and has helped rather more than 440 individual students.

He has been used to having a weekly practice of between 10 and 20 students, mostly seen for an hour or sometimes two hours a week or more under exam pressure, for the four subjects Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as they require.
It is important for him to follow-up on a student’s exam results, always. He needs and wants to know if he has been effective and has helped them properly, and that they have, for example, achieved the A-level grades required for their chosen universities, or the GCSE results to enable them to study at the college of their choice.

Ian B.

Ian B. has taught in schools, colleges and as a private tutor for 25 years. He is currently teaching A-level in school and doing some tutoring at university. At the same time, he marks A levels for AQA.

He listens to a student and analyses their needs then put in place a scheme of work that will accomplish the targets set. Ian’s tutoring approach is focusing on a lesson plan that might include work on the elucidation of theories, ideas or methods, but also he covers work on writing skills and essay planning as often it seems it is not so much the content.

Ian R.

Ian R. is an experienced and practising teacher available for tutoring in the Sheffield, Rotherham and North East Derbyshire areas.

He has over 25 years as a primary, and secondary teacher and 30 years of experience as a tutor. Ian provides a reliable and fully professional approach.

He has been an exam board examiner and team leader for over 20 years. He is an examiner for IB and the Cambridge Boards. He has a proven record of improving grades for public examinations, facilitating scholarships for entrance exams and helping students gain grades for university admission.

Jamie

Jay used to teach Maths, English and Art at college for more than 5 years and she is very familiar with the independent school application and examination process.

She has tutored many pupils in preparing for interviews with independent schools in the UK and the comments have been very positive.

Jing

A well-educated and highly experienced English, Maths and Chinese Mandarin teacher/tutor and Chinese/English interpreter. teacher with over 18 years teaching experience to students from different countries. Jing is friendly, patient and enthusiastic, and speak fluent standard Mandarin (native Chinese) and English.

She is a qualified 11+ teacher, tutoring 11+ all four subjects (English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-verbal Reasoning) with high pass rate over 95%. Also teaches Mandarin to students from different countries with diverse linguistic backgrounds in UK.

Lessons are enjoyable, achievable and tailor-made to each student including students with special education needs.

Lam

Lam is a professional trainer for Maths and Physics 11+, GCSE, A Level, Math. Olympiad, ENGAA, NSAA, MAT and PAT. He is confident to teach pupil for achieving 90% or above. His lesson focuses on the examination and based on past papers so pupils can build up confidence and improve techniques in the examination. He aims to optimize their performance in the examination and help high ability student to get 9 or 100%.

Lam has over 10 years of experience in Further Maths, Maths and Physics tutorials. He worked as an IT professional in the University over 20 years.

His tutoring approach is to focus on preparing for examinations directly.

Niannan

Niannan is very proficient in Maths and Computer Science.

He loves problem-solving and enjoys teaching. He’s not afraid of challenges and always ready to help.

Got BA and MA degrees from Cambridge University and finished PhD degree at Imperial College London.

Niannan has taught AS/A2 Computer Science at David Game College, currently teaching the Big Data Class and C++ laboratory at Imperial College London.

The tutoring approach is asking the right questions before the lesson to find out what your student’s aims are and bringing resources and assessing their current level of study.

Nigel

Nigel is a highly experienced, successful full time specialist English teacher of 30 years, from Key stage 3 to 5. He has a particular specialism in A-level tuition of English literature/Language as well as GCSE. He also tutors for the entrance exam at 11+ for KES,KEHS,EHS and Solihull School. I also tutor for the Oxbridge entry exam and Creative Writing to A level.

He is personable, caring and dedicated in his approach to tutoring.

He loves tutoring English and seeing students develop and will always aim to push pupils to make the most progress possible.

Nigel is currently an examiner for GCSE and A level English.
He’s also employed by the national charity TalentED to work with gifted and talented children.

Stephen

Stephen has been working in schools and colleges both in teaching and support roles since 2009. He has taught students at levels from Key Stage 3 through to A Level and BTEC Level 3. He’s a highly experienced Computer Genius with a degree in Comp Sci and twenty years of industry experience and in-depth knowledge of all the sticky bits of the Computer Science curricula. Whether you’re struggling to get your head around floating point binary conversions, building your first web-based database or coding the software for your first interplanetary robot rover, Stephen can help.

He is familiar with tutoring on Maths for GCSE to A-level problems.

Simon

Simon has been a Head of Geography since 1992 at two different schools and currently teach AQA at an 11 – 18 school.  He has taught both OCR and AQA and has a wealth of examining experience, starting way back in 1992 with S.E.G (now AQA). He has moderated coursework for all exam boards and is currently a senior moderator at A-Level (NEA) for OCR and AQA. He has been a team leader since 2005 for OCR and currently provides INSET for OCR to schools and teachers as a subject expert. He still marks for both AQA and OCR GCSE as well as being a team leader. Simon is currently a senior examiner for AQA and OCR currently marking the A-Level paper 1 (physical) as a team leader for both exam boards.
